International and Arabian Show Jumping Championships from
February 4
|
The Qatar Equestrian Federation will
host the 5th Qatar International
Show Jumping Championship and 7th Arabian Show Jumping Championship
from February 4 to 7 with the cooperation from the Arab Equestrian
Federation and under the aegis of the International Equestrian
Federation.
The events will take place at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s
racetrack. Sheikh Hamad bin Ali Al Thani, president of the federation
and the higher organising committee, said the federation has
sent an early invitation to all the equestrian federations.
So far a total of 24 countries have confirmed their participation.
He said this year’s event would be special as many experienced
riders will be participating in it. He said the federation has
made all the necessary arrangements to make the event a success.
The federation has taken out a book which gives information
about the events. A total prize fund of QR300,000 in addition
to a saloon car will be at stake during the event. |
