DOHA – Ireland bred bay horse
Ocelot ridden and owned by Ramzy Al-Duhami of KSA claimed the
FEI World Cup in
the featured event of the ongoing 7th Qatar International Show
Jumping Competition, on Friday at the Al-Rayyan Park.
The faultless Al-Duhami rode
Ireland's bay horse for a Mitsubishi car with a fascinating
49.4secs finish, ahead of compatriot Khalid Al-Eid who rode
chestnut France bred horse Al-Ryadh (Univers D'Elle – Soria Des
Bruyere) to bag second prize worth QAR 13,000.
KSA riders dominated the show
taking top four honours, with Saudia (Jokinal - Landara) owned
and ridden by HRH Prince Abdullah Bin Metab Al-Saud prevailed in
third spot to purse QAR 10,500, while countryman Kamal Bahamdan
rode Verelst Curtis (Cassini - Petina) the grey German horse to
bag QAR 10,500. The two compatriots made four faults in their
second round.
UAE riders took the later four
positions in the eight-rider second round.Hosts Qatar was placed
11th with Nagano (Luk 2 - Heradin) Netherland bred bay horse
owned by Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF).
