DOHA, March 11, 2009 –  Qatar
Equestrian Federation, QEF announced that they have completed
all technical and administrative arrangements to organise the
prestigious event, HH the Emir show Jumping Cup championship
from 16-17 March at QEF main playgrounds.
It was
announced during a press conference held on Tuesday, headed by
Mr. Rashid Al Mansouri, QEF president and head of championship
organising committee who ensured that will feature wide
participation and support of local companies and broadcasting
channels.
Al Mansouri
expressed his appreciation to HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al
Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar for his generous sponsorship
to the championship and wished all success to the championship
in light of the great support for the federation.
QEF President
also lauded HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani-Secretary
General Qatar Olympic Committee of his concern and the support
of Qatar Olympic Committee to Federation and the championship.
The press
conference was attended by Mr. Talib Al Saaq-QEF Secretary
General, Mr. Saleh Bin Ghanim Al Ghanim-QEF Board Member and
Head of Public Relations and Protocol Committee and Mr. Ahmad Al
Badawi-QEF Technical Expert.
According to
organizers, a total of 90 riders are due to compete in the two –
day event with 250.000 QAR for grabbing.
