Qatar Equestrian Federation organized HH Emir Show Jumping Championship for the first time in QEF history on March 16 and 17, 2009 at QEF Field in New Rayyan.
With 500, 000 QAR  in addition to two cars from Al Attiyah Motors and trading company (KIA) for grabbing, the championship featured the participation of 85 riders from where the first day was allocated for juniors and men according the rules of International Equestrian Federation at the height of 110-120 cm and 125-130 cm. the obstacles were arranged by an expert from FIE. / see results
 

Al  Saaq wins QEF Cup and KIA car

With attendance of Mr. Rashid Ali Al Mansouri-QEF President and QEF Officials in addition to lots of fans, Abdullah Talib Al Saaq on Suqrat won  the first place in QEF Cup clocking time of 41, 37 seconds without faults and received KIA Car From Al Attiyah Motors Company.

Seven out of twenty-eight riders qualified to the final held at the height of 110 cm, element (A) Article 238.

Salmin Sultan Al Suwaidi on Korina occupied the second place in a time of 41, 64 seconds without faults ahead of Mohammad Al Emadi on Oryana in a time of 37, 96 but with four faults,

Hamad Nasser Al Qadhi on Norina secured the fourth place clocking time of 38, 90 with eight mistakes while Ali Saeed Al Missned on Top Corsir finished fifth place in a time of 46, 09 second with eight faults.

Mr. Rashid Ali Al Mansouri-QEF President crowned the winning riders.

Maersk Oil Qatar sponsors HH Emir Show Jumping Championship

Maersk Oil Qatar company announced their sponsorship to HH Emir Show Jumping Championship organized by QEF under chairmanship of Rahid Al Mansouri from March 16 to 17,  2009 with participation of 90 riders.

Mr. Saad Al Mohannadi-General manager of Maersk Oil Qatar handed over the sponsorship Cheque  to Talib Al Saaq-QEF Secretary General and Manager of the championship with attendance of Saleh Al Ghanim QEF Board Member and Director of Public Relations Department and Sheikh Faisal Bin Fahad Al Thani- Manager of project development in Maersk Oil Qatar.

Al Manadi expressed his happiness for sponsoring the precious championship ensuring that this sponsorship is part of the company's support to the social and sports activities in Qatar.

Al Saaq thanked the company for its support to sports particularly HH Emir Show Jumping Championship.

"KIA" sponsors HH Emir Show Jumping Championship

QEF and Al Attiyah Motors and Trading Company agents of "KIA Motors" hold press joint press conference at the main podium of QEF to sign sponsorship agreement for HH Emir Show Jumping Championship 2009.

The conference was attended by Talib Al Saaq-QEF Secretary General, Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Attiyah- Board Member of the company, Ahmad Al Badawi-QEF Technical consultant and Hussein Abbas Manager of Marketing Department in the company.

Talib Al Saaq expressed his appreciation to the company for sponsoring the championship ensuring that the company is pioneering in supporting the major sport events being organized by QEF.

Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Attiyah expressed the happiness of his company's officials to sponsor the championship that hold the name of HH Emir of Qatar.

HE Sheikh Ali wins HH the Emir Show Jumping cup

With attendance of HE Sheikh Juan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al Thani won the title of HH the Emir Show Jumping Championship organized by QEF on March 16 and 17, 2009 with prize money of 500, 000 QAR.

HE Sheikh Juan Bin Hamad Al Thani handed over a golden sword inlaid with diamond to HE Sheikh Ali won claimed the first place on Brigad in addition to KIA Car.

Ali Youssef Al Rumaih on Ravenna managed second, while Faleh Suwaid Al Ajmi rode Vodka Orange for third overall.

The final day of the prestigious event was attended by HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee, HE Sheikh Khalid bin ALI Al Thani, the President of Qatar Cycling Federation, Rashid bin Ali Al Mansouri, the president of Qatar Equestrian Federation.

Sheikh Ali finished the course in a time of 79.65 without faults while Ali Yousif Al Rumaihi of the second place finished with 0.63 points and Faleh Al Ajmi ended the course with 10.04 points.

Abdullah Al Ujail on Bel Ross occupied the fourth place with 10.49 points while Badr Mohammad Al Darwish on Wilco secured the fifth place with 10.93 points and Mohammad Al Attiyah on Corlinio finished sixth with 11.49 points.  

Nasser Saeed Al Qadhi on Oxelinda secured the seventh place with 11.71 points ahead of Mohammad Haidan on Adonis in the eighth place with 11.76 points and Abdullah Adel Nasser on Alein in the ninth place with 16.20 points while Basim Seif on Beiraq Al Zubarah finished tenth with 19.02 points. 

Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman: we hope our riders to qualify to Olympic Games and World Cup

HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani-Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee expressed his happiness for the attendance of HE Sheikh Juan Bin Hamad Al Thani in the crowning ceremony and honouring the winning riders with purpose of supporting and motivating them to represent Qatar in the international events.

QOC Secretary General ensured that the riders have all requirements that enable them to secure medals in the Asian, Arab and Olympic Games. Sheikh saoud hope Qatari riders to qualify to world cup as QOC well provide all support for equestrian as an Olympic games in the future to secure medals for Qatar.

Sheikh saoud lauded the level of competition particularly the final class that featured number of talents where sheikh Ali won the title of the championship held for the first time in the QEF history.

Sheikh Khalid Bin Ali: Qatar's riders able to complete the campaign

Sheikh Khalid bin Ali, father of sheikh Ali Bin Khalid winner of HH Emir Show Jumping Championship has expressed his happiness for the achievement accomplished by his son.

Sheikh Khalid Bin Ali ensured that his feeling of happiness is not only for his son winning but also for having he the championship organized and for the concern of QEF with the level of riders that became better stressing the ability of Qatar's riders to complete the campaign.

Sheikh Khalid wished the technical and media support to the Qatari riders to continue with purpose of encouraging them to accomplish more achievements for the Qatari sport 

Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid: The young riders are the stars of future

Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid, winner of first place in HH Emir Show Jumping Championship expressed his happiness for winning the title of the first edition of the championship and congratulated the riders who won top places in the championship.

Sheikh Ali lauded the performance of the youth riders who showed very excellent performance ensuring that they will be the future stars of Qatari equestrian.

Sheikh Ali expressed his appreciation to Hamad Al Azbah who's efforts have contributing the winning the title hoping the championship to continue in the next years.
 

Rashid Al Mansouri: new born for Show jumping

Rashid Al Mansouri-QEF president lauded the level of HH Emir show jumping championship ensuring that the championship reflected the honorable image of equestrian in Qatar where Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid deserved the title for his wonderful performance along with all participating riders who tried their best to clinch the title.

QEF President expressed his appreciation to HE sheikh Juan Bin Hamad Al Than for attending the championship and honouring the winning riders in and evident on the official support to equestrian. 

Rashid Al Mansouri who was also the chairman of the championship's organising committee thanked his HH Emir of the state for the continual support to equestrian and appreciated HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Heir Apparent and President of Qatar Olympic Committee for his contribution to successes of Qatari equestrian.

QEF president thanked HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani-QOC Secretary General for his cooperation and interacting with QEF and his unlimited support to the Qatari equestrian.

Talib Al Saaq lauds contributors to  success of the championship  

Talib Al Saaq, QEC Secretary General and Director of the championship lauded everybody who contributed to the success of the championship ensuring that the level of championship in respect to technical and organizational aspects was very high where riders of the Qatari national team proved their merit.

Al Attiyah: the technical level was good

Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, Member of the championship's organising committee ensured that the technical level of championship was so good where the young riders showed wonderful performance in the event allocated for them and stressed that Sheikh Ali deserved the title.

Ahmad Al Badawi: seven riders finished the final without faults

Ahmad Al Badawi, QEF technical consultant ensured that the championship was so tough where the level of riders was so high and lauded the efforts of organizers and the media coverage of the championship.

Al Badawi said that the technical level of the championship was so high as seven players finished the final class without faults ensuring that the young riders benefited from participating in such an event. .

Saleh Al Ghanmi thanks sheikh Juan

Saleh Al Ghanim, QEF Board Member and head of Public relations and protocol committee expressed his appreciation to HE sheikh Juan Bin Hamad Al Thani for attending the championship and lauded media coverage of the championship.

Al Ghanim hailed the Youngman who delivered a poem for late, Sheikh Ali Bin Jassim Al Thani was called (Juan) ensuring that the leve of the championship was high.
