DOHA,
April 27, 2009 – The Qatar Equestrian Federation had organised
the inaugural Show Jumping Championship on Saturday.
The competitions were attended by HE Sheikh Saoud Bin
Abdulrahman Al Thani, Secretary General of Qatar Olympic
Committee and HE Mr. Rabea Bin Mohammad Al Kaabi who later
crowned the winners.
Also, present were Dr. Lolwa Bint Abdullah Al Messned, Dr.
Khalid Bin Rashid Al Khayarin, Rashid Bin Ali Al Mansouri, QEF
President, Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, the official sponsor
of the championship, Taleb Metaab Al Saaq, QEF Secretary General
and Director of the championship, Saleh Al Ghanem, QEF Board
Member and Ahmad Al Badawi, QEF Technical Expert.
In the 90cm class, Abdullah Khalid Al Manae of Nasser Bin
Abdullah Al Attiyah School rode Windify for first place in 24.14
secs.
Mohammad
Dhafi Al Ardhi of Al Safwa Secondary School on the back of
Kamiloni managed second in 24.56 secs, while Hamad Ali Al
Attiyah of Al Andalus School occupied third place on Hoppy in
25.51 secs.
In 105 cm class, Saoud Nasser Al Kubaisi of Standard Qatar
University rode Topeldar for first place with 62.49 points,
ahead of Abdullah Taleb Al Saaq of Ali Bin Abdullah Independent
School on Suqrat finished second with 66 points. Suleiman
Mohammad Al Emadi of Omer Bin Al Khatab School rode Oraba for
third place with 63.20 points.
Saeed
Nasser Al Qadhi of Hamad Bin Abdullah School on Oxelinda won
first place in 115 cm to 120 cm class in 54.31 seconds. Mohammad
Taleb Al Saaq of Al Rayyan Secondary School occupied second
place in 55.13 seconds, while Hussein Mohammad Al Jaber of Omer
Bin Al Khatab School on Royal settled for third place in 59.98
seconds.
In the fourth class for 120 to 130 cm height, Nasser Mubarak Al
Hajri on Neoten clinched first place in 95.96 seconds, ahead of
Salmin Sultan Al Suwaidi on Koryana in 97.68 points. |
