DOHA,
May 19, 2009- Qatar Police Sport Association (QPSA) held a press
conference on Monday to unveil details of inaugural Police Show
Jumping Championship to be held at the headquarters of Qatar
Equestrian Federation (QEF) on Saturday at 1400hrs.
The press conference was attended
by Colonel, Mohammad Ali Hobash, QPSA Secretary General,
Colonel, Hassan Al Qadhi, Captain, Aref Abdulrahman and Taleb
Metaab Al Saaq, QEF Secretary General.
It worth mentioning that,
Brigadier, Khalid Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, QPSA President and
Brigadier Abdullah Saad Al Sulaiti, QPSA Vice President attended
the press conference.
Colonel, Mohammad Ali Hobash, QPSA
Secretary Generalwelcomed the attendees and greeted Teleb Al
Saaq, QEF Secretary General.
Mohammad Ali Hobash, ensured that
the championship will be staged under the sponsorship of HE
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of
State for Interior Affairs.
QPSA secretary General expressed
his appreciation to the president and board member of QEF.
Taleb Al Saaq, QEF Secretary
General praised Brigadier, Khalid Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, QPSA
President and Board Members of QPSA for their continual
cooperation with QEF to organise inaugural police show jumping
championship and for hosting such press conference.
QEF Secretary General, ensured
that the championship will feature three classes where the first
class will be for the height of 100 cm with participation of 37
riders and the second class for the height of 110 cm with
participation of 27 riders while the third class will be for
height of 120 cm and will witness the participation of 25
riders.
Al Saaq confirmed that the
cooperation between QEF and QPSA continued 30 years as 15 of QEF
riders were deputed from QPSA including Hussein Ali Al Merri,
Majid Thamer Al Kaabi, Rashid Faraj Al Azba, and Abdullah Al
Ujeil.
Colonel, Hassan Al Qdhi,
Supervisor of the championship said that, the youngest rider in
the championship will be honoured.
Captain, Aref Abdulrahman ensured
the championship will feature the participation of six women
riders and wished all success for the participating riders in
the championship |
